Bozboz update

Recently we have been very busy, having moved into our new office in central Brighton, and trying to find enough art to fill the walls of our new office.

We are working on some internet marketing projects, one for a large book publisher how to who are giving away free books online. They have a wide range of material ranging from web related books through to practical books on geneaology and cookery.

Also we have just launched a site for a church in Lewisham and are still working daily with Metalheadz

Not much time for blogging, but we will update soon

Bozboz office on the move

Well its been a very busy few months here at bozboz, leaving us little time for an update.

We’ve recently finished a few sites, one for horizons music  an independant dance music label, and another for guerillavision, a television advertising company based in London. We’ve recently started work on a new ecommerce site for Brightons premiere nightclub the Concorde 2 and are also working on an overhaul for The Tabernacle, a large church in Lewisham.

Combined with this we have just moved offices, and are now located in central Brighton, a stones throw from the beach - so if we dont answer the phone we are probably at the pier on the dodgems or something :)

New site live – Deadspace

We’ve just finished work on a new website for manga, for a new anime film called Deadspace. The project involved a flash website design with lots of video and imagery. You can find out more about this film website project  here

New Browsers and CS4

It’s been an interesting week In The World of web design, with an announcement on the impending release of flash CS4, which could offer some new tricks and geekery for us to play with.

Another interesting development is the release of Googles own browser in beta. Google chrome is unlikely to go away when it is backed by the most dominant search engine in the world, and if it’s as usable as some of their other apps then it can only be a good thing.  Let’s hope it doesn’t introduce loads of new browser bugs all of its own though.

tips for choosing a website designer

This is always a tough subject, especially with companies coming and going all the time. Ill expand on this list but here are i think a good few tips for choosing a web designer.

1. Choose someone whose designs you like. look at their past portfolio and see if you like their style.

2. Find out who your dealing with. Is it a company or an individual. Is it a full time career for them or a bit on the side?

3. Choose someone you like the sound of. If possible meet them, make sure you think you can work with them and they get your ideas. This makes life much easier.

4. What about hosting? You need you website to be hosted reliably. You dont want some monkey running a webserver in their bedroom, or who you cant contact at weekends if your site goes down!

5. How does the payment work. Do they need money upfront, if so what percentage?

web design update

Its been a busy week here in the brighton office, with several projects on the go, summer is a figment of our imagination existing somewhere outside the window.

We’re currently about half way through a flash website for a manga film called deadspace so expect some news on that soon

We’ve also got a few smaller jobs on including a website for a market research company in London, which should be a nice break from the ultra violent world of zombies in outer space – that’s the deadspace website – not our office
